Absolutely stunning much sought after clutch bag from an era when sophistication and glamor was everything.
Crocodile skin, with a patent band up the centre front.
The heavy gold metal frame is stamped inside .
The label on the inside of the bag top maker "Ackery London" made in England.
Lined in brown silky ribbed rayon material.
There is a full lengh of the clutch zipped pocket, with a smaller open pocket to the front of it. The opposite side has a matching size pocket, both are trimmed along the edges with the brown leather croc.
This is a largish clutch as was the fashion then, we estimate this to be 40's to early 50's.
The fabulous double clasp,which gives a satisfying "clunk" when closed, is a lovely feature.
This little beauty is in near perfect condition .On the top left of the clasp is a little indentation, you can just about see it in the picture.We feel this tiny imperfection adds to the character of this fabulous very chic glamorous bag.
You don't often see craftsmanship and glamor like this today .This bag is not lightweight, it is a lovely weighty bag.
Lengh is 12 inches long x 6 inches deep x 1.5 inches width.
One previous owner , and a much cherished bag.
Sent well padded and in a plain white padded envelope.
